Keywords
Search, get to know and discover which are the most important keywords for your blog and edit them in your HTML. Analyze the keywords of your competition and your niche; and bring them into play with your Blog. Have the keyword list handy (no more than ten) and use them in your posts all you can (include them in your links too), without abusing them. Try exchanging between central keywords and secondary ones. Try how keywords work with orthography mistakes. reformulate them and make tests all you can, is a constant construction work.
Metadata and Title Tags
Create a clear and concise description, which defines your Blog in your HTML. Try not to surpass the 300 characters with it and include some of your keywords. Do not ignore the Title Tags (H1, H2, H3, H4…) either, because they will provide with a better structure, usability and positioning to your posts and titles.
Updated and relevant content
Apart from having your content updated (once again the phrase “the content is the king” rings a bell) and linked to your keywords, a good strategy is to take up again the historic and more relevant content of your blog. How? Create a list with the ten best entries of your blog, the most read ones and the most commented. Also, use and link the related entries. Thus, your relevant content will take value again and your blog will be related in a coherent way. You can use the right sidebar of your blog and the footer of each post for this purpose. And keep in mind… that once you have worked your keywords, your descriptions, title tags and contents, do not forget to let google know about the existence of your Blog.

Predictions are held in investment growth, new technologies, big application launches or creative tendencies which the Internet “gurus” try to guess without any exact science. However, there are some big themes or tendencies, that have been central during the course of last year, which we cannot ignore towards the year that is initializing. Let’s try then, to get locked in a time capsule and tour together the possible future for the online advertising in the new calendar.
Advertising and mobile applications:
The growth of this sector during the 2012, has been exponential, and there is no doubt that it will keep on with the same tendency for this new year. There are almost 500.000 applications between the IOS and Android systems, distributed among games, music, videos, TV, GPS, etc. Besides, the selling of intelligent telephones does not stop growing monthly, reaching a 40% of the market total and it gets to cover four of ten computers. We have already gone through a long way together in order to improve and optimize our blog. We have seen how to improve the design, how to work with social networks and widgets, how to earn money, how to participate in contests and much more. Now it comes the time to measure and to know in which level we are, how successful our blog is and how we can go on improving. What is beyond traffic? How much interaction are we having with our own content? Let’s move forward then, with some suggestions and tips to measure our blog’s performance.
1.Subscribers
Subscribers are a good hint to discover how many faithful and lasting readers your blog has. Between you and them there is a kind of reading commitment. There are two kinds of subscribers: by RSS with services like FeedBurner or by e-mail with subscribing services to newsletters. Analyze, measure and get to know your readers, that will be useful to take decisions and establish strategies regarding your contents. A subscribers’ database that surpasses the 100 readers is considered to be a first step for your blog’s success.
2. Comments, Feedback and Interaction:
Comments
Once the spam and all trash without content have been removed, you can get an idea of the interaction that you have achieved with your readers. If you still have two or three comments, you need to go on improving. If you have surpassed the ten readers’ barrier, it means that you have improved and that you already have a group of readers. If you have surpassed the fifty readers’ barrier, your blog is a real interaction success. Don’t worry if the comments are bad or negative, make sure you answer them and solve any possible issue. It is always better to have them and find the positive side about them.
Feedback
Analyze, study and take into account all kind of contact that your readers may have with your blog: their e-mails, questions, suggestions, etc. will be useful to improve your strategies. Vimos cómo mejorar el diseño, cómo trabajar con redes sociales y widgets, cómo ganar dinero, cómo participar en concursos y mucho más. Ahora llega la hora de medir y conocer en qué estado estamos. Cuán exitoso es nuestro blog y en qué podemos seguir mejorando. ¿Qué hay más allá del tráfico? ¿Cuánta interacción logramos con nuestros contenidos? Demos algunos pasos, entonces, con algunas sugerencias y tips para medir el estado de nuestro blog.
1.Suscriptores:
Los suscriptores son un buen dato para descubrir cuantos lectores fieles y a largo plazo ya tiene tu blog. Entre ellos y vos ya existe una especie de compromiso de lectura. Existen dos tipos de suscriptores: por RSS con servicios como FeedBurner o por email con servicios de suscripción a newsletters. Analiza, mide y conoce a tus lectores, te servirá para tomar decisiones y establecer estrategias en tus contenidos. Se considera que una base de suscriptores que supere los 100 lectores es un primer paso para el éxito de tu blog.
2.Comentarios, Feedback e Interacción:
Comentarios
Una vez removido el spam y toda la basura de contenido que puede llegar a ese espacio, puedes tener una idea de la interacción que has logrado con tus lectores. Si aún tienes solo dos o tres comentarios, tienes que seguir mejorando. Si ya has pasado la barrera de los diez es porque has mejorado y ya tienes un buen grupo de lectores. Si superas la barrera de cincuenta, tu blog es un verdadero éxito de interacción. No te preocupes si los comentarios son malos o negativos, ocúpate de responderlos y resolver cualquier problema. Siempre es mejor tenerlos y tomar lo positivo de ellos.
Feedback
Analiza, estudia y toma en cuenta todo tipo de contacto de tus lectores con tu blog. Sus mails, sus preguntas, sus sugerencias te servirán para mejorar tus estrategias. El nivel de feedback también es un gran medidor del éxito de tu espacio. No sólo la cantidad sino la calidad de los mismos. Un feedback preciso y certero puede hacer que mejores con creces tus contenidos.
Interacción
Hay muchas formas en que tus lectores pueden participar de tu blog. Abre espacios para ellos, interpélalos. Crea encuestas, concursos y preguntas todo el tiempo. Responde e interactúa en las redes sociales. Cuando logres un alto número de participación, sabrás que tu blog ha empezado a volar.
3.Links
Los links son otro gran indicador de cómo te estas relacionando con otros bloggers y cómo ellos se relacionan con tu contenido. Suman tráfico y posicionamiento en buscadores en un mismo paso. Las opciones para seguir este movimiento son los trackbacks, el rastreo tus links en Google, utiliza el ranking de Technorati y finalmente investiga cómo llegan a tu blog desde las estadísticas y analíticas de tu sitio. No lo olvides, todo suma hacia el tráfico y no todo, es el tráfico.
